The Brief
Based in Poole, The Funky Peach supply personalised clothing, stationary, and signage for businesses and individuals across the UK. They combine top-quality goods and customer service with a dash of quirkiness (as you can guess from the name!).
The Funky Peach team reached out to us at Town & Country in search of new phones for their premises. They chose us because we'd worked with them for many years and knew the ins and outs of their systems. We also knew them personally, having gone to school together!
After quoting them for the phones, we noticed their current broadband was ageing and suggested upgrading to a newer system. They were on board with the idea, so we updated the quote to include the broadband upgrade and got started on the installation not long after.
The Project
Hosted and Mobile Phones
The Funky Peach's previous phone system was missing out on many of the features modern systems bring to the table, so we decided to upgrade it to a newer, more versatile solution: a comprehensive hosted system.
In a hosted setup, the infrastructure and services are taken care of by a third-party provider, delivered over the internet rather than traditional phone lines. Not only are they more scalable and feature-rich than older phone setups, but they're usually more cost-effective as there's no need for expensive on-premises hardware.
A hosted system was a natural choice as it perfectly aligned with their team's needs, offering features like call transferring, different options for sales and accounts, and more. The user-friendly interface and improved reliability were also big factors.
Along with the hosted phone system, we provided them with brand-new Apple iPhones for both internal and external communications. We currently manage a total of six mobile contracts for them, a big jump up from the initial single phone contract we provided several years ago.
Fibre Broadband System
We gave their old broadband system a major boost by upgrading it to a cutting-edge fibre optic network. This allowed them to experience lightning-fast speeds, minimal latency, and a reliable connection designed to meet the internet demands of today and tomorrow.
We also provided ongoing management for their new system. If any issues popped up, they could reach out to us directly, bypassing the time and hassle of dealing with BT's customer support.
The Results
The whole process took about two weeks, as we needed to order the equipment and brainstorm the best design for the new system. We kept the communication lines open throughout this time, checking in regularly with their team to discuss what they wanted from their new system.
