Samsung’s hotly anticipated Galaxy S10 model is apparently set for release on 8th March 2019, according to a new webpage launched by the South Korean electronics giant.
The new webpage has been unveiled for consumers to register their interest in the device ahead of an official announcement on February 20th. Rumours had been circulating that the S10 would be available on March 8th, seemingly confirmed by Samsung’s mention of "delivery by March 8th while supplies last".
Samsung is expected to be launching three versions of the Galaxy S10 at their event next week, with the Plus and “E” models also heavily rumoured. The much-talked about foldable Galaxy X is also expected to debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event, with billboards in Paris having recently been emblazoned with the words “The future unfolds” along with the date “February 20”.
According to whispers, the Galaxy S10 is set to see another price hike. Samsung appear to be softening the blow though, as those who register interest in the new range will also be eligible to receive a $50 instant credit to spend on new accessories from Samsung. Samsung is also offering up to $550 in savings on its next flagship smartphone when customers trade-in certain rival devices. The latest Apple iPhone models, including the iPhone XR, and iPhone XS, will fetch the full trade-in value.
The Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus are expected to feature a new triple-camera, along with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone will retain the headphone port – unlike many rivals – and a much-talked about Infinity-O, edge-to-edge display.
Samsung will broadcast a livestream of the event on its website, at 7pm GMT (2pm ET, 11am PT) on February 20th.
