Wi-Fi Assist – Wifi assist is a new feature on the iphone since the new iOs 9 update. Wi-fi assist means if your iphone is connected to wi-fi and the signal is weak then it will automatically switch to mobile data (3G/4G). This can cause a problem as it means you are using your mobile data rather than the wi-fi which on cases means your data bundle runs out and even start incurring data charges. Our advice is to switch this off so you are not hit with data charges.
To switch this off go to: settings, Mobile/Cellular
EU Internet – EU internet is another feature which we have seen cause an issue for users when abroad. If the EU Internet feature is on this will mean you cannot use your mobile data abroad. Consult your provider on EU charges and switch this off if you want to use the data.
To switch this off go to: settings, Mobile/Cellular
Do Not Disturb – With Do Not Disturb, you can silence calls, alerts, and notifications that you get while your device is locked. You can also schedule a time or choose who you'll allow calls from. The issue with this is that customers do not realise this is switched on which means they are not receiving their calls and will get a text to say they have missed a call. To see if this is on your iphone look for the half moon symbol next to the signal bar on the iphone. Switch this off if you want to receive your calls.
