Google Nexus 5

Google have produced a phone that is simple and understated. It is available in both black and white; the black model features a soft touch matt plastic casing. Unlike many of it’s contemporaries, the back of the phone is not removable, so the battery cannot be replaced by the user. However, the phone has an attractive, slightly curved design so is comfortable to handle.

The Nexus 5 is comparatively slim, at just 8.9mm, with a weight of 130g. It has a 5in, full HD IPS screen, with a 1080 x 1920 resolution resulting in a pixel density of 445ppi.  The display has been found by reviewers to be ultra-sharp and responsive with vivid colours, and works well outdoors so is ideal if your business results in you making calls and sending messages outside.

If storage is an important factor when choosing your next business mobile phone, then you’ll be pleased to know that the Nexus 5 comes in two options; 16 and 32GB, although it doesn’t have a microSD slot.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the Nexus 5 is pretty comprehensive. It's features dual-band Wi-Fi with the latest 802.11ac standard, Bluetooth 4.0 low energy and GPS. The phone also supports all current and upcoming 4G networks.

Users have found the battery life on the Nexus 5 to be a little disappointing; with just one day of use before the phone needs recharging. However, if you have regular access to a power point the Nexus 5 does charge up pretty quickly, and it is also available with wireless charging via a reasonably priced compatible charger.
