Established in 1992 by Nigel Butler, we offered mobile phones and contracts to private individuals. By the mid-nineties, once mobile took off and providers slashed prices, we diversified into providing local businesses with a one-stop shop for their mobile communications.
The business became a truly family affair between 1999 and 2014, when Nigel was joined by four of his six sons and the business grew rapidly and moved into landlines and broadband. More recently, partnerships secured with Vodafone, O2 and BT heralded a big move for us, and since 2013 we have become wholesale providers for the UK’s leading networks giving us better control as we can tailor monthly costs to suit the customer’s requirements and offer greater flexibility with contract terms.
“Being a close-knit family business, we’re able to offer a personal service to all our clients – something quite rare in the telecommunications sector. We’re able to offer 24/7 support and think nothing of visiting our customers when they have an issue rather than dealing with it over email or the telephone” explains Nigel.
The 25th anniversary celebration was a fitting occasion to say thanks to our enviable list of clients that include a large number of Dorset’s leading businesses such as Greendale Construction, Ellis Jones Solicitors, Westover Group, Churchill Retirement Living, Charles Trent and Broadview Blinds.
Nigel, along with current Managing Director and eldest son, Lee, expressed their gratitude to the numerous business men and women who joined them to celebrate.
“As a close-knit family and business, we adopt that mentality in all that we do and we are lucky enough to call our guests friends as well as clients, and are extremely grateful for their support over the years” remarked Lee.
The onslaught of wind and rain did nothing to dampen the spirits on the evening with guests being treated to a musical performance by local musician Danny McClafferty and comedy sketch from Scott Charlton, both close friends of the business.
